Cassandra goes along with Angel and his mother into the kitchen while Nick and Jeremiah discuss the intricacies of the curse. "I don't see how we can solve this so simply. This is clearly some arcane and forgot magic. I should have stayed at school and convinced someone to give me access to the restricted section. The answer has to be there somewhere." She blames herself as she sits at the table her head in her hands.

It had been forty five minutes since Cassandra had set Rajanna out into the bright day. The fox bat had not been too kean on being active on a lazy Sunday morning but eventually flew off with the two small pouches. One each for Nex and Angel. She had considered sending one to Thais but he seemed to be so broody lately she felt it best to let him be alone until whatever he was dealing with was done. Each pouch contained a pair of Every flavor beans. One was the flavor of fresh cut grass. The other... apples. She hoped she had been specific enough as she leaned back against the tree. Rajanna had returned about 20 minutes ago so she knew they had both received the message. "We'll show that pompous git." she thinks to herself with a cold smile as she reaches up to stroke the head of the dangling Rajanna above her. Rajanna snuggles a moment and then begins to dejuice the nearest apple.

Basil Nox looked terribly out of place in the Leaky Cauldron. His hair dark but severely gray at the temples was neatly slicked back and to the side with pomade. His eyes had the perpetual sleepless look of an obsessive workaholic and an obsessive... just about everything else. He was dressed in a smart dark green suit very prim and proper with a gold pocket watch chain visible across his vest. You couldn't find a sliver of facial hair with a microscope, and you couldn't find an out of place thread in his suit with a magnifying glass. Anyone watching him as he waited there would instantly notice his most commonly used spell. 'Scourgify'. He used this spell on his stool, the section of the bar before him, his glass, the bowl of peanuts nearby and a deranged old drunken hag that stumbled a little too close. The bartender was clearly disgusted by his blatant disapproval of the bar's cleanliness. "Oh, I wish he would hurry up." he grumbled to himself.

Cassandra is impatiently tapping her fingers on a crystal ball in the divination room. ocasionally she hears Professor Trelawny snoiring and mumbling in her sleep from her apartment next door. "It's a good thing she goes to bed early and sleeps so soundly" she thought to herself as she continued to tap her fingers on the crystal ball which ironically spoke to her talents but was useless to her. Remembering she had a cup of tea she picks it up to make sure it is still warm. Taking a sip she toys with her fathers old pocket watch with her free hand. For the last hour she has been going over all the details and checking for mistakes. she hasn't found any but she is still nervous about the test. Her tension builds so that she starts when she hears Rajana scratching at the window even though she had been expecting the bat. "Oh I'm so sorry Raj I didn't mean to forget you." She let's the bat roost in a low chandalier and offers her a strawberry from a small pouch at her waist. Rajana eagerly drains it of it's fluids before tossing the flesh to the floor. At the sound of the splat Cassandra twitches. "I suppose I will have to figure a way to get one of the others to clean that up." She sits back down with her tea and the pocket watch and resumes nervously tapping the crystal ball. Waiting for her friends to sneak in.

Cassandra sits in the sun out by the forrest. She is wary that the watchers in the woods may return but she senses nothing right now. 'I wonder if they managed to get everything alright.' she thinks to herself as she goes over the items in her bag. Beeswax candles, some mulberries, a flat stone, and some chalk. She goes over the list of things she had divided up between Angel and Nex. Angel was to obtain leaves of particular species of tree one from the oldest specimen he could find and one from the youngest. Nex was to deliver some basic herbs and roots common for most spells and they all were to be on the lookout for something silver with a silver chain that would make a suitable shell for the spell. So far Cassandra had come across a couple things but they either could not accommodate a matching chain long enough or they did not have a clasp button or twist that would make a decent activator switch. 'I hope the others have had better luck.' she thinks as she checks the time on her magic watch.

The gorey array of corpses towering above them make the air a little heavy. The relative stillness of the scene compared to all the other paintings in the castle seemed to make it all the more eerie. Not to mention the ocasional flashes of a jagged toothed grin of the grave robber. "So..." she asks pulling out a parchment notebook and a quill. "What have you come up with Nex?" she asks her smile a startling contrast to the aura of the area.

Cassandra sat at the Ravenclaw table in silence. She had been brooding while casually picking at her perfectly arranged plate. No one had spoken to her. In fact both sides of the bench around her seemed to be slowly shifting away from. Not that she was considered undesirable. More that this evening she seemed to be a bit of a buzzkill. She had spent some time studying by the lake this afternoon. It was quite relaxing at first, but slowly... she just... became unwary. She began looking her over her shoulder. she found her self uneasy of the woods. They seemed to be watching her. She strained to listen for anything odd but heard nothing but the voices of other students. She was being watched. She was certain of it. What she was unsure of was to what degree. She almost felt as though she were being studied by two seperate spies. She felt no threat. Just... mystery. As if she were as much a mystery to the eyes in the woods as they were a mystery to her. She sighed quietly to herself and wished she knew how to learn the source of these watchers.

Her dreams were always disturbing... even when the content of them was lovely. Based on only her earliest memmories... faces were large and distorted... there were never any straight lines... doors were wider at the top and crooked. lights blinding... hallways endless... and everyone else always towered above her. First she was in a bright grassy meadow a single tree dominated the sky yet offered no shade. she was happy and giggling prancing around in the grass with a woman. The womans face was always too distant and too shadowed to see in detail. But she knew that those shadows concealed a smile to match her own. Noticing a big black wicked looking beatle climbing on her hand she squeels. The woman says gently "Hush now Cassie... It' more afraid of you than you are of it." The woman then picks up the beatle and it becomes a lovely Ladybug. She had had this dream before... and knew it would change before it did. Suddenly the liht drains from the sky. She finds herself in a tunnel with a tiny light off in the distance she can hear people arguing. Two men, one of them her father, the other a stranger. The first man yells, "What could you have possibly been thinking!?" then takes a deep breath and continues. "It was a threat clear and simple! You've got a lot of growing up to do Boy!" The other returns, "I didn't know what to do! You can't ask me to just---" he is cut off by the first man. "I've got more important things to worry about than you!" she can feel herself wrapped up tight and warm in something. "I need to get her to St. Mungos. And you had better be gone from this house by the time I return. I... I have to know what she did." these three sentences begin oozing venom and end with deepest despair and concern. The dream usually ended there. but tonight it continued adding elements that were never involved before. The darkness worbles into deep reds and purples. a shadowy form runs up to her and with Angel's voice it cries. "Cassandra! It's Nex, I can't find her anywhere!" She can hear herself speaking but doesn't know why she says what she does. "We have to find her. She has the key!" The colors and shadows begin to swirl and a woman's voice is heard in an echoey whisper. "Hush now Cassie... it's more afraid of you than you are of it." She awoke with a start her forehead hot and sweaty. She breaths in giant paniced gasps for a moment before she calms herself and rolls over. It takes quite awhile but she finally falls back asleep. This time her sleep is dreamless and restful til morning. but she still awakes with grim thoughts.

The movies rolled on till well after curfew. The lights off but for the images on the screen. A few people went home some left and came back but there was still a small group left in the room when Cassandra suddenly tensed and went cold. "Turn it off." she said in a loud whisper. "Turn the movie off! Someone is coming... someone not very friendly."
